Student evaluation of teaching was started in American in the 1920s,and regard as the most common resources for collecting teaching validity and the most important standard for checking teacher' task.So far,it has been widely applied to the evaluation both in university and middle school.Therefore,the research into student evaluation of teaching effectiveness is of great significance and important in reality.As to student evaluation of teaching effectiveness,researches both abroad and at home have conducted discussions on its validity,the factors affecting the student' evaluation,and measures improving student' evaluation.However,all the researchers put emphasis on either theory of evaluation or on the conclusion to the experience of evaluation practice,instead experimental demonstrations are fewer.On one hand,researchers pay more attention to the evaluation from the university students,on the other hand,they put less attention to that of middle school (especially junior high school) students.Therefore,For this reason,this research mainly refer to junior high school students' evaluation,take A junior high school for example to process research.In this school,I survey the teaching principal with conversation face to face and to the teacher and students with questionnaire.By settling and analyzing to find information,I find some problems in this school' evaluation,this existing problem about student evaluation of teaching is as follows: Student evaluation of teaching aren't really regarded,the whole operation lack guidance and criterion;the main body(junior high school students)of evaluation take on juvenility,they may appear "halo" "prejudice" and so on in evaluating;index system exists and the disposal of evaluation' result exist some problem and so on, these is the reason to make student evaluation of teaching not have good effect.Why do these problems appear? The reason is as follow:school principal not right cognition and comprehension,so lack inherent motivity;lack relevant bylaws and operational procedure;lack guidance about value theory and method and so on.On the basis of the A junior high school' problems,I bring forward following countermeasure:school governor should do some actuality thing,to let teacher and student feel the regard to student evaluation of teaching from school;choose right method and manner to enhance the validity of student evaluation of teaching;establish a suit of unabridged bylaw;evaluate and use the result of student evaluation of teaching in reason,make it develop teaches' teaching,this is also the aim of this research.
