This paper based on documentation, questionnaire, expert interviews and other methods to explore the significance of taking the physical education as the college entrance examination content, and to analyse the aspects of basis ,and in order to provide some theoretical basis to the education sector to reform the examination system. It is known that the different groups of people's cognition about the necessity and feasibility to take PE as the examination content. Through investigating the different groups of people's evaluation about take PE as the examination content, preliminary determine taking PE as the examination content programs in order to provide reference for future college entrance examination reform and PE test. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)"Constitution","Education Law","Sports Law","Regulations on the Work of PE"are all made a system and consistent requirement about the development of the physical fitness of students, which reflects that our government has a high recognition about the development of the physical fitness of students, that's the important legal basis for take PE as the entrance examinations content; foreign university entrance exam system and under the background of China's reform in the college entrance examination subjects such as the"3 + X"reform, the college entrance examination in 2007 in Shandong Province first taking the Sports as a college entrance examination content, which is taken as the theoretical basis for taking PE to college entrance examination.(2) The significance about taking PE as the examination content include helping better implement the Party's education policy, contribute to the transition to quality education; enhance the status of PE; promote PE development; improve community awareness of Sports; actively guide students in physical activity and improve physical health status of students.(3) Students, parents, teachers and school staff directors generally considered that taking PE as the college entrance examination content is necessary and feasible. Different grade of the students awareness of the need to PE test is different; parents of students in different grades have different attitude of taking PE as the college entrance examination content; different disciplines have some impact for teachers'attitude to take PE as examination content.(4) The guiding ideas about taking PE as examination content are enhancing the physical fitness of young people, promoting quality education; and its guiding principles are the enthusiasm principle of physical training for students'initiative excitation, and the principle of fairness. Four groups of people think the Examination scores ought to range in 10-60 ,and within the range in 30-40 ought to be the most appropriate; the Examination projects are long / standing long jump, chin-up (male) / sit-ups ( female), 800m (female) /1000m (male), the solid ball /cast shot.(5) Different groups of people have all highest recognition for the program one, this paper recognized the program is that projects are 800m (female)/ 1000m (male), long jump / standing long jump, the ball solid / cast shot, basketball; scores should be 30 and the standard should refer to the standard of grade three in high school in"National Students Health Standard score sheet"made by Ministry of Education and the State Sports General Administration's, and the examination standards need further studying.
