The new curriculum reform called for strengthening the relationship between the language and the life. As an important component of the language and literature, composition teaching also need to associate with the life. There are some shortcomings in Traditional component teaching such as departing from student's life, ignoring student's development in an all-round way. Basing on these, the paper tries to find connections between real life and writing theories, explore ways for linking up life and writing, create the independent and vivid teaching patterns, in order to unify student's life and component.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is tracing the relationship of education and life in China and west. With its development, to expound that education's trend is basing on life.The second chapter is composition teaching based on the realities of life. By analyzing the relationship between the composition teaching and life, the current situation and the reasons for life based composition teaching and the standard of teaching's requests, to stress the consistency between composition and life, and tell us that life based composition teaching is an effective way to overcome the traditional component teaching drawbacks.The third chapter is the theories of life based composition teaching. I prove its feasibility in three ways which are education, educational psychology and writing theory.The forth chapter is the strategies of life based composition teaching. The ultimate goal of theoretical study is servicing practice. Based on theories in the third chapter, I give composition teaching some suggestions in aspects of objectives, contents, methods, processes and evaluation.Composition teaching is the most creativity activity. The level of student writing ability is not only the standard of judgment, but also directly affect the quality of composition teaching. The purpose of writing this paper is to interpret some my own ideas and proposals for composition teaching and I hope it would be helpful.
