Motivation is the mental and internal intention that pushes people to carry out activities, Motivation of exercise determines the exercise behavior and its performance directly.According to psychology:"motivation is the subjective intention that stimulates people to take actions and is the psychology that used by individual to start and sustain his action." Just like participating other activities,the female college students,stimulated and sustained by a certain motivation,chose to take part in the kongfu class.Although the motivation of learning Kongfu is a kind of mental activity,it is also formed and developed gradually during the real practice influenced by the outside environment,and it is also the reflection of the objective need of social life and self-physiology on human's brain.The motivation of female college students' learning Kongfu plays a very important role in that it could help them master the kongfu knowledge,skills and form the habit of physical exercise. So,the investigation and analysis of this motivation has a very important guide meaning both in theory and practice.It could help to improve the effects of college kongfu teaching;to improve the female students' diatheses;to set up their physical consciousness for life and helps to promote the development of kongfu teaching in colleges and universities.This investigation based on the theory of exercise motivation from some experts of exercise and psychology home and abroad in recent years,consulting the(table of exercise);compiling(table of the motivation of kongfu exercise) and(questionnaire of motivation of kongfu exercise) by interviewing experts and consulting anterior materials,which were used for this investigation. According to the result,we analyzed the actualities of the motivation of Beijing's female students of ordinary colleges and universities,and analyzed their motivation(include comparing the changes before and after learning kongfu plus the factors that influence motivation) and how to stimulate the motivation.Conclusion:1.The internal motivation of female students of Beijing's ordinary colleges and universities stays at a low level,while no motivation and external motivation ranks high.2.A significant change took place in motivation after female students of Beijing's ordinary colleges and universities began learning kongfu,before which the internal motivation of learning kongfu is very low,but the external motivation plays a very important role.After the kongfu learning,the students' internal motivation was heightened.3.The influential factors of motivation of female students of Beijing's ordinary colleges and universities:teaching contents 45.88%,teachers' quality 38.43%,easy or difficulty degree of teaching contents 33.73%,instruments 28.63%,the way a student came to know kongfu 20.39%.4.Methods of stimulating the students' motivation of learning kongfu:making use of the transformation of the need and motivation,making use of the female students' characteristics of motivation,setting up the students' confidence of their own abilities.
