The Design And Development Of Distance Learning Materials For The Financial And Economics Courses

The printed materials is an important component of distance learning materials.It's quality will affect the quality of distance teaching and learning.The printed material has always been the most commonly used tools for the distance education learners in China,and it also has been an important transmission vector to knowledge and information.After many years of practice,the printing material of CRTVU(China central radio and TV university)has forms its own characteristics.It has two kinds of combinitation pattern such as on the two vertical and one style. But on the whole,the CRTVU is currently used to print the materials from the structure to the content with little difference between the traditional education's.They do not fully highlight the characteristics of distance learning materials.And now,it is the focus of the study on design and development of network courses,and printed material is not sufficient to draw our attention.And there is very little corresponding research on disance education printed material.The start and aim of this research is to design a distance learning material for CRTVU.The issues of the research are:what is the really design status of CRTVU Financial and Economics printed materials? As well as on the basis of the existing design,how to design and develop the printed material "small business management" courses.Do the learners really accept the distance learning materials?This study based on research and development process,using the content analysis,questionnaire and interview.Research in Finance and Economics printed material of "small business management" courses based on their design will be adapted for distance learning materials,as well as directly under the Central Institute of CRTVU and the Inner Mongolia Radio and TV university.In the end,I gathered the views of students on the distance learning material through questionnaires and interviews.The research indicates that:1,the printed materials of the CRTVU Financial and Economics do not well reflect the characteristics of distance learning materials.Through the analysis of the cases,we can find that:there is no activity.Even if they have examples of design,but there are still a wide gap between the requirements of distance learning materials;2.The learners have the full positive attitude in the desin of activities and examples;3.Motivation of learners affects their participating in the activities and examples of teaching materials.The researcher gave some special and feasible suggestions to improve the construction of printed materials and to improve the learning outcomes of distance education learners:1.Pay attention to the research and development of printed materials and to develop a unified standard; 3 to stimulate learning motivation of learners;4.Deepen the curriculum,teaching and evaluation of reforms;5.Combine the activities in the printed materials of the Formative Evaluation.
