| Creative spirit and ability is an indispensable demand in the 21st century and future fierce competition mainly depends on the science and technology and great intellect with innovation ability. And independent thinking is the precondition of creation.He will not adapt to the rapidly developing society without independent thinking ability,say nothing of innovation.Cultivation of students' independent thinking ability is one of the great targets of all kinds of education in almost all the countries.It is explicitly proposed to foster the students' ability of independent thinking and self-education besides knowledge,skills, methodology,and the four common compulsory abilities(listening, speaking,reading and writing) in the teching syllabus in our country.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to develop junior middle school students' ability of independent thinking.Cultivation of independent thinking ability for junior middle school students was systematically studied in this thesis by literature summarization,questionnaire investigation, interviewing and teaching experiments.Relative conceptions of independent thinking ability and theoretical supports from the psychology,cognitive theory and education science were first determined.Then the major factors and the basic principles of developing ability of independent thinking for junior middle school students were analyzed and summarizd.Based on the investigation of status of junior middle school students' independent thinking ability and its reasoning analyses,and combined with the long-term teaching experiences,the cultivation method of independent thinking ability for junior middle school students in mathematical teaching was preliminarily established including building good environment for independent thinking, developing students' good studying habit,fostering students' conscious of thinking and questioning,instructing students to master scientific thinking methods,paying much attention to teaching strategies in class and establishing scientific evaluation system.In order to examine the application possibility and reliability of the proposed cultivation methods of independent thinking ability,teaching experiments were carried out by choosing an experimental class for one term.Exploring results of the teaching experiment show that the experimental students' independent thinking ability has greatly improved.That is to say, the proposed developing method has a remarkable positive effect on improving the students' ability of independent thinking and it is practical in the mathematical teaching. |
