One of the basic problems of school education is knowledge teaching,whose an important aspect is its value.Some facts indicate that knowledge teaching in reality isn't the genuine knowledge teaching when teschers misunderstand the truth of knowledge.In this article,we inquiry into the nature of knowledge and its educational value with the minds of Marxism.The enlightenments that we have acpuired is the following:Knowledge are essentially the expression of the contact of practice between human and the world,whose value is to lead human's practice of survival; Being in the educational form,curriculum knowledge is something of human's historical and cultural practice.To make full use of the educational value of knowledge,curriculum needs to be regarded as a situation for individuals to communicate with the human,accompanied with a strategy of dialoge in the practice.There are five sections in this paper.The first part is "introduction",telling the background of this reseach.It shows that nowadays knowledge is of a very important role in modern times,while knowledge education in schools holds a lot of deficts.Meanwhile,many reseaches involved about the value of knowledge education are not only generally lack of indispensable discussion on premises for their theories,but also far from perfect analyses.The second part is "knowledge as in modern curriculum practice".It demonstrates the facts that curriculum knowledge has been improving historically with the development of modern curriculum practice,while as well as being hidden and alienated by its own limits of cultural characteristics,the root of which lies in the metaphysical theory on knowledge.The third section is "the essence of pratice:an examination of ontology and epistemology of knowledge".In this part,we consider the most essential characteristic for knowledge in ancient and in modern times as metaphysics,which has incured the critics from Postmodernism and Marxism.Howerver,Postmodernism has been to another extreme,and scientical analyses on the origin,essence,content and nature of knowledge were reached by Marxism,which gave a reliable basic on epistemology to modern curriculum.The fourth part is "leading a person' life:an inquiry of the value of knowledge".In this part,we express the ideas that the value of knowledge has been changing in human's history with the development of knowledge itself,the enlightment provided by the philosophy of Marxism could be that,for a deep comprehension of knowledge,it is necessary for us to regard knowledge as human's practice only in this way can we understand the consistence of human and knowledge on the value.The fifth part is "pursuing 'cultvating a man':the reconstruction of curriculum knowledge".Our conclusion here are that,on the basic of epistemology of Marxism,the reconstruction of curriculum knowledge needs a conception of curriculum as a situation for individuals to communicate with human,and a strategy of curriculum practice as dialoge.
