Careers option is an important decision made by individual job under the influence of subjective and objective factors. The level of careers option not only has a direct affect on the relation of individual and career, but also on the development of individual capability and job efficiency of organization. Therefore, it is very important to explore the influential factors of careers option. It will be improve the rationality of careers option in individual.Since 1909, many peoples carried out a lot of studies on the factors influencing occupation of an individual. Vocational values and career decision-making self-efficacy (abbreviated as CDMSE) are the focus concerned by psychologists and occupational-guide experts. Based on the previous studies, the paper, according to social cognitive career theory, focuses on CDMSE and vocational values have affect on the occupational choice of the higher vocational colleges. The paper also explores the influential factors in higher vocational colleges' choice of occupations, and aids the students of the higher vocational colleges to get ideal job.The author referred to the research by CDMSE of Betz and Taylor which revised by Long ying-mei and vocational values Questionnaire of Ling wen-quan, considering the present situation of student's employment in higher vocational colleges. 251 students are measured. The methods of stat in data are among multi-variances and relation by SPSS 13 for windows. The results indicate:1. Higher vocational college students rank the vocational values in a sequence of self-development, health care and reputation. Significant differences of higher vocational college students' vocational values are found in gender. Male students stress much more about reputation and social status.2. The significant differences in higher vocational college students' career decision-making self-efficacy are found the CDMSE of male students is higher than that of female ones.3. The vocational values and CDMSE in higher vocational college students are related to their family background. The vocational values and CDMSE are closely related to each other.4. Many factors that influence the higher vocational college students in their choice of occupations, individual play the important role.
