The current study explored the status of attributional style, self-confidence and career maturity of college students, the influential factors of college students'career maturity, and the relations among the attributional style, self-confidence and career maturity. The study enriched the college students'career maturity researches, which also provided theoretical and empirical evidence for making the career guide plan.790 students were conveniently chosen from a university in Hebei province, and the 686 questionnaires were included in this study. The questionnaire of college students'maturity, the multidimensional-multiattributional causality scale and youth self-confidence inventory were used as investigation tools. The characters and the correlations of the attributional style, self-confidence and career maturity were explored.Through the data analyze the following conclusions are reached:1. The level of college students'career maturity is in the middle to upper level, and the score of the first-order factors from low to high as follows: utilitarian,major knowledge,interpersonal strategic knowledge,confidence,professional world knowledge,professional self-knowledge,activeness,realistic,independence.2. The differences among grades of college students'career maturity are significant, showing a reversal"N"type developmental trend, in which grade one and grade three are much higher, and grade two and grade four a litter lower. The college students'career maturity level has no differences in the gender, major, whether serving as student leaders, whether having part-time work experience, whether participating in school community, the origin of family, whether from one-child family, parents education, but a few first-order factors have differences in there variables.3. The order of students'attribution for academic success is efforts,ability,luck,situation and the order for academic defeat is efforts,ability,situation,luck; the attribution order for interpersonal success is efforts,situation,ability,luck, and the order for interpersonal defeat is efforts,luck,situation,ability.4. The level of college students'self-confidence is in the middle to upper level, and the score of factors from low to high as follows: academic confidence,coping efficacy,moral certainty,achievement expectation,interpersonal confidence. 5. Internal attribution for academic success and career maturity is positively correlated. The ability attribution for academic defeat and interpersonal defeat is negatively correlated with career maturity. Each factor of students'self-confidence and career maturity are positively correlated. Internal attribution for academic success is positively correlated with self-confidence. Situational attribution for academic success and self-confidence is negatively correlated. Efforts attribution for academic and interpersonal defeat is positively with self-confidence.6. The attributional style and self-confidence of college students are significant predictors for career maturity and its secondary-factors.7. Attributional style can directly affect the career maturity, it can also affect career maturity indirectly by the mediating variables of self-confidence.
