Communication in the classroom is in an existence in class teaching activities,and also one of the important issues emphasized in the new curriculum.Currently educational theory research in China mainly focuses on the communication instruction and the learning through communication is neglected.And at present there exist several kinds of formal communication in the classroom such as,unbalanced communication,ineffective communication and presupposed communication.The learning through communication is a type of learning,in which the learner learns from others through dialogues and interaction.It has been emphasized and used by educators at home and abroad since the ancient times.Through the new curriculum,the learning through communication is becoming popular with teachers,and makes classroom teaching more lively.The application of learning through communication in the classroom is to improve students' achievements.Firstly,the background and related research of the learning through communication are clarified briefly,and the theoretical bases are identified,and the practical experience of the learning through communication are summarized.Secondly,the mechanism, functions and limitations of the learning through communication are analyzed.Finally, this research,in which some major methods,such as documents-summary,classroom observation and teaching cases analysis are adopted,mainly elaborates the two important types of the learning through communication,which includes discussion learning and cooperative learning and their application in the classroom.It is hoped that this research will be able to improve the present communication in the classroom and promote effective guidance of learning through communication in the classroom teaching.
