Sanda, as an innovative athletic sport based on the traditional martial arts, has established a whole system of teaching, training after nearly three decades of development. However, classroom lecturing system is a continuous innovation process. With existence of problem that current teaching process is often too arbitrary and Sanda lecturing are always at will, it is a useful attempt by using the successful experience of performance management to deal with Sanda teaching. Performance management is a whole work system that evaluates a staff's performance and other related training activities.After reform and opening-up, performance management has successfully applied in some enterprises, and begins to spread from profit organizations to none-profit organizations such as government, hospitals, schools and other public departments. At the same time, performance management is also introduced to the management of colleges, universities and teaching activities.In this study, by using of literature, experimental comparison and statistical analysis, performance management theory will be introduced to the management of teaching practice to martial arts major students, to build up a teaching management model which consist of performance plan, process monitoring, performance evaluation, assessment results. Training performance, professional skills, match score, General ability can be consideed to evaluate the performance of experimental group and control group in the experiment, to obtain the advantages and disadvantages of using performance management in Sanda teaching, to find out the usability and approaches of applying performance management model in Sanda teaching, in order to get theoretic disciplines and practical experiences for the reform and innovation of Sanda teaching.
