One of the aims of the curriculum reform is to make classroom active and move together,so that all levels of students can truly become the main focus of leaning activities through interaction,communication and cooperation. The New English Curriculum Standards for Middle School students advocates the use of integrated language ability of students and emphasizes on learning through doing,which requires teachers to use the scientific teaching model. Interactive teaching provides students with a English studying environment, which will increase the opportunity of Enlish input and output. In order to know the present"interactive"situation in senior high school classrooms with references to the curriculum standards, and find problems existed in English classes of senior high schools and propose strategies to improve English teaching in senior high schools, related investigations are carried out according to interactive concepts.This paper bases on the concept of the new curriculum standards, the literature review and the investigation on the teaching practice. It describes English classroom interaction status in Changchun S Senior High School and it discusses and summarizes problems in the interaction. With references to solutions learnt from the classroom interaction cases in the best high school in Changchun, strategies are proposed accordingly.The full text is divided into five parts:Part I: introduction. It includes the reasons for choosing this topic, significance and research methods.Part II: theoretical basis for this study,including the definitions and types of classroom teacher-student interaction,related concepts of high school English Curriculum Standards,basic principles of classroom interaction under these new concepts.Part III: the description of English classroom interaction status in Changchun S Senior High School,including the investigation procedures,basic information of research target and problems existed in classroom interaction.Part IV :to explore reasons why problems existed in English classroom interaction in Changchun S Senior High School. It is mainly through interviews with teachers and students in the questionnaire based on the research to find out the reasons for its existence. Part V: strategies to improve high school English classroom interaction. For S senior high school English classroom interaction problems, the corresponding improvement strategies will be proposed , which will be of great referential significance to schools with same problems in classroom interaction.
