The function of spatial concept in the geography, as important as the time concept in the historical teaching. The geography spatiality is one of geography unique symbolics. Geography spatial imagination is an important component of the middle-school student geography spatial ability, which is restricting the middle school geography study effect and teaching advancement directly.We designed group of questions carefully to measure the student's geography space imagination ability in middle-school, which embarks from the various essential factors of geography space. The questions both have contained to inspections on the geography space shape, the size, the position and is away from which is spatial factor imagination, and involves to the inspection about the student's ability of interconversion between the graph and the writing as well as the graph and the graph. The survey result that through the statistical analysis is as follows: (1) the present stage of middle-school student on geography space imagination is not high, particularly the ability on transfers between the writing and the graph , the horizontal plan and the block diagram is bad. 2) Looked on the middle-school student geography space ability's aggregate level that the male student surpasses the female student, the village student surpasses the urban student, the key school student surpasses the ordinary school student, the student of liberal art surpasses the science subjects to live. (3) The geographic pattern is playing the role does not have may substitute which in the middle-school student geography space imagination ability's raise process.This article to have made the multianalysis to survey result's possible influencing factor, then based on this target-oriented proposes efficacious device on the middle-school students'space imagination ability raising, by better promotion geography teaching.
