Mathematics anxiety is a subject-specific form of anxiety and it is also a special type of anxiety. It usually refers to the tension, strain, dysthesia and fear are produced when a student faces figure, uses mathematic concepts, studies mathematic knowledge or takes part in mathematic exams. This kind of anxiety influences the achievement of students so much. Students who have mathematics anxiety will hold a negative attitude and wrong concepts on solving mathematic problems. And even more the anxiety will lead to psychological obstacle or abnormity.This thesis is intended for middle-school students and it will deliberate the relationship among the mathematics anxiety of students and mathematic achievement,view of mathematics, motivation of math learning , attribution and self-efficiency through organizing, modifying and actualizing the questionnaire. Meanwhile, the author tries to find out the reason of mathematics anxiety through having a conversation with students and produces some suggestions on mathematics anxiety. The concrete conclusion as follows:1. Correlated ResearchThere is significant correlation between mathematics anxiety and mathematic achievement. According to the authors's experiment, the higher degree of mathematics anxiety, the worse degree of mathematic achievement.Mathematics anxiety are significantly negatively correlated with motivation of math learning,view of mathematics, attitude.2.Study on difference on mathematics anxietyThere is no significant difference between mathematics anxiety of the boys and girls.There is significant difference between mathematics anxiety of different grade.3. Cause AnalysisThe thesis studies on the reason causes the middle-school students'mathematics anxiety from internal and external factors. The internal factors include concept, motivation, attribution style, self- efficiency and so on, while external factors comprise of the subject characteristic, teachers , parents of students and so on.4. SuggestionsThe thesis gives suggestions from teachers, parents of students and students to relieve the mathematics anxiety.
