To this end, the best instructors in colleges and universities through the analysis of personality characteristics, counselor for the enrichment and development of the theory of psychological research is an important research value, but also colleges and universities for the future in recruitment, selection and training of counselors to provide the theoretical basis and practical the reference value.This study used quantitative and qualitative research method of combining the use of 16 kinds of personality factors cartel psychological test scale (16PF) of 10 colleges and universities in Changchun City 41 outstanding counselor to study the personality characteristics and select sociability , stability, sophistication, and experimental,impact, excitability, and courage, and self-discipline scores higher than the average of more than one standard deviation in doubt, and anxiety scores of lower than average a standard. The results are as follows: (1) With the general adult norm compared to the national, college counselors excellent exercise in addition to the characteristics of personality, fantasy, independence, sensitivity, and tension of these five personality factors in the difference was not statistically significant , the other 12 personality factors were significant differences. (2) Colleges and universities to adapt to the majority of outstanding counselor type, export-oriented, calm and resolute type alertness, outstanding college counselor in good mental health, higher achievement, higher levels of creativity, the ability to adapt to the environment . (3) University of outstanding male and female counselors in the stability, impact, excitement, and exercise, courageous, fantasy, and anxiety, and self-discipline, intense personality of the nine factors that significantly different.
