With the development of modern society and the increasing of competition, the expectations level on youth of parents and the society have become higher and higher. So the spiritual pressure they face have become heavier and heavier. The over-heavy pressure on them has seriously impacted on their mental-health development. Fashion setting-up exercises is a popular P.E course both inland and abroad and it spreads different styles of fashionable sport. Learning it can improve both body and mental health and make people feel energetic. The author operates an experiment that what can fashion setting-up exercises effect on mental health among middle school students and analyses that it can improve the mental health of middle school students. All these results will push the fashion setting-up exercises education into development.The author uses documentations, questionary and experiment methods to study the functions that fashion setting-up exercises gives on the mental health of middle school students. And the results shows that:1. After fashion setting-up exercises education, middle school students'levels are very significant than before the experiment in the factors of"compel symptom","crankiness","human relationship","blahs","anxiety","the feeling of study pressure","bad accommodation","emotional instability","mental unbalance"(P<0.001).It is obvious in the factor of"hostilities"before and after experiment(P<0.01), and the total score is lower than that before the experiment. It explains that fashion setting-up exercises is very important in improving the students'mental heath during P.E classes in middle schools.2. Study objects have lower lever than that before the experiment in the factors of"human relationship","hostilities","bad accommodation". And this shows that fashion setting-up exercises has positive functions in these three factors .Fashion setting-up exercises is one of the best forms for students to communicate, express feelings, break the ice, and improve the communication abilities.3. From the results, we can infer that after exercises the factors"anxiety""blahs"are better than do exercises before. And this explains that fashion setting-up exercises has active effects on"anxiety"and"blahs"factor.4. Students who actively attend the exercises have higher level than students who haven't done the exercises on the"emotion balance factor. And this shows the emotion regulation that fashion setting-up exercises gives is very obvious.Through results analysis and from the fashion setting-up exercises developing circs, the author gives respective suggestions: First, fashion setting-up exercises should be widely spread among middle schools. Secondly, during teaching each student in accordance of their aptitude, teachers should pay more attention at the students'psychic change.
