As the further implementation of the new curriculum reform, the teachers feel tremendous pressure and challenges. The new curriculum requires teachers to change the role to become the organizer, the guide and facilitator of the course, this is a higher demand of the ability to teachers. This paper studies the capacity of teachers in curriculum design which is an important component of the capacity of teachers in the curriculum, the capacity of teachers in curriculum design is a prerequisite and guarantee for the effective implementation of curriculum.The study on the use of existing research achievement , points out that the teachers of the value orientation of curriculum design are under pressure of curriculum design-oriented, such as schools pressure, test orientation; or improvement and development-oriented, such as improving the quality of teaching, abilities for the development of students; or course easy to implement design-oriented . The study analyses the four basic elements of curriculum design, the main course of curriculum design, the course objectives, the course content, the course evaluation . The study reveals the ability to structure of the curriculum design on different dimensions as well as factor. In this study, by survey and interviews on the implementation of the new curriculum and the performance of teachers, informed assessment of the current system is not perfect, the use of curriculum resources is no reasonable, teachers is too much pressure, and awareness on curriculum design among teachers is lack, preparation of curriculum is wrong orientation, In this study, the use of narrative research method to analyze specific cases, the main research resources for teachers to choose and lesson preparation and teaching design .Basing on the above three types of research methods, I make recommendations of curriculum design ability development in the two aspects which are the schools and teachers themselves.
