This paper aims to research the newly emerging Productive Practical Training Base (PPTB) in vocational colleges. There is a trend that high skilled talents are becoming more and more valuable and insubstitutable. With the development of vocational education and construction of model vocational colleges, a mainstream that linking the Practical Training Base to market and enterprise needs possibly strengthen the public understanding towards practical learning and education. Within the context, more flexible and effective means, such as integration of learning and production or internship has been introduced to vocational colleges, which in steps accept the concept of Productive Practical Training Base (PPTB). As a result of enterprises and business active participation in education and training, students' basic competency, including capacity for changing and problem solving are significantly improved through the engagement into a more reliable productive context; furthermore, there is more likelihood to convert school from a simple consumptive facility to be more productive. On the other hand, enterprises and business are able to access more qualified labor and human resource through the strategic cooperative relationship and partnership. The paper comprises five chapters, which are:Chapter One analyzes the background of Productive Practical Training Base and the meaning of the research. Going through the national and international literature on Productive Practical Training Base, it defines the objective, mind map and approaches in the research.Chapter Two is to introduce the meaning and the characteristics of Productive Practical Training Base. After explaining of the related concepts, the narrow and boarder definition of Productive Practical Training Base has been elicited.Chapter Three is trying to address the necessity and feasibility of Productive Practical Training Base, which can not be substituted by practice training base in other forms, attributed to the competitive but unique education model. The author started to explain the necessity of the Productive Practical Training Base in the view of pedagogy, therefore to verify the feasibility and possibility for the construction and development of practice training base.Chapter Fourth aims to analyze the operational models of Productive Practical Training Base in three forms, school-based, out-of-school based and regional-based model in terms of operational approach, case study, advantage and disadvantage analysis. After that, the author attempts to conclude the operational mechanism of Productive Practical Training Base in this chapter.Finally, some reflective suggestions towards the construction and operation of Productive Practical Training Base have been discussed in the fifth chapter. Considering of the problems in the operation of Productive Practical Training Base, two conflicts and two key points are discussed and the corresponding solution also proposed in the final part.
