The Study On Infant Family's Invironment In City With Contemporary Characteristics

The overwhelming majority of infants bring up in family in a city. The environment of family is absolutely critical for the development of infants. This study include the physical ecosystems and interpersonal ecosystems, and especially include the upbringing behavior, upbringing capacity and attitude, and therefore show the upbringing environment of the family in the city.The study of and face-to-face talks with 224 paterfamilias in Shanghai City find that physical environment of infants' development is very rich, but the interpersonal environment is single. The physical environment is improved significantly than ever before, however, the number of adults and mates infants associate with is very few. people, born after 1980 is very dependent on grandparents, include daily life,the nursing of children, and so on. The upbringing behavior and attitude of grandparents is more traditional than parents, but they also have great competence to accept new ideas. Mutual distrust exist in parents and grandparents. The survey also shown that fathers have engaged in the upbringing of infants, but is also not enough.For this reason, we propose that parents and grandparents should create opportunities for infants associating with others, and opening various relationships. Parents should being their own mistress. Grandparents won't be behind the times if they are better qualified. Parents and grandparents should enhance communications, the relation of mutual understanding or trust between them is significantly important. At the same time, we should raise the level of participation in the process of upbringing.
