It is of critical importance for basic education instructors to cultivate students' skills and abilities in math. Features of math, processes of acknowledgement and individual's psychological characteristics are the three main fields that draw much attention from researchers on math, among which students' abilities of observation, attention, memorization, understanding, imagination, association and other factors of non-intelligence are supposed to be improved. Teaching practice shows, however, we have not achieved as much effects as expected. Some facial and metaphysical methods are being delivered while students' memorizing and imitating with outcomes that our students' math abilities and learning efficiency are yet to be upgraded. How to improve their math abilities has always been a puzzle for most of math teachers.Compared with lecturing teaching, exploring teaching focuses on the model of student-centre in which students participate and experience the knowledge and skill acquisition processes to get their abilities fully developed in harmony. A lot of obstacles are lying in the process to classroom management and designing for most math teachers, among which students' role and instructors' role are misunderstood and teaching methods are backward. From a brand-new angle of math teaching, exploring teaching finds its way to overcome these shortcomings of traditional methods based on the experimental result and everyday teaching practice.After the way of documental analysis, experiencing generalization, experiment, questionnaire, test are used to study exploring teaching contents, features, teaching principles, strategies as well as result of experiment, a set of constructional advice has been fixed. A series of experimental reforms have been carried out to structure teaching strategies and principles properly in order to solve some problems in the process of exploring teaching.The following are the strategies: (I) objective fixed and situation created; (II) exploring indepently and experiencing actively; (III) learning in cooperation and discussing in democracy; (IV) reflective evaluation and automatic constructure; (V) variety training and generalization reforming. The following are the principles: initiative; inquiry; adaptation; affection; acquisition and reflection.Five pieces of conclusion have been achieved in the experimental reforms based on these principles and strategies mentioned above. First, it helps to facilitate the process of exploration to adopt these principles. Second, students' interest in learning math has been upgraded. Third, students' motivation to inquiry math has been improved. Four, students' abilities to learn math have been cultivated in a series of activities. Five, students' scores of math exams have been increased.
