This paper is a study of the case teaching, a teaching method which is used flexibly in the teaching activity. It not only has the capacity of fully exerting the teacher's leading role, but also stimulating student's learning enthusiasm, making the teaching atmosphere more lively, making student's interest in learning stronger, making the knowledge acquired easier. Case teaching is a kind of teaching method. It is under the guidance of teachers, on the grounds of the need of class teaching aims and teaching content, through the use of setting one or a few specific cases , then guide the students to participate in the investigation, reading, thinking, analysis, discussion, expression and communication, enable students to take the initiative to think and explore so as to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, develop students' integrated capacity such as problem awareness, problem analysis and problem solution and so on, which can also enhance students' understanding of basic principles and concept. Faced with the curriculum reform and new teaching materials, it is a good quality education form to develop case teaching in high school chemistry teaching. It is an effective teaching method for improving students' capacity and quality. It plays a very important role in the course of the teacher and curriculum reform growing up at the same time.This paper starts with a survey of organization and implementation of the t case teaching in high school chemistry teaching. Through a selection of the relevant cases, and gives a practical research during the chemistry teaching in high school. This is followed by a brief discussion of how to carry out case teaching in the problem situation created by the case in the high school chemistry course. with the analysis of the true feelings of both teachers, and students during the case teaching, it arrives at the conclusion how to develop effective teacher—student interaction and the smooth conduct of the teaching procedures through problem situations created by case, which leads to the most meaty part of this paper, put forward recommendations of the teaching implementation and provide specific cases used for reference for the case teaching.This paper is divided into six major parts.The first part, outlining the developing background of the current case teaching at domestic and abroad. From a theoretical perspective , the author expounds the case teaching method and it's characteristics , functions and methods and then describes the advantages of the case teaching in high school chemistry teaching.The second part, the theoretical foundation of the study of case teaching in high school chemistry teaching is discussed.The third part, in light of the new curriculum reform, the author explains the significance of carrying out the research of case teaching in high school chemistry teaching.The forth part, in accordance with the actual situation of high school chemistry teaching, organization of the procedures of case teaching in high school chemistry teaching is described in detail.The fifth part, combined with the teaching cases, the author has the practical exploration of using case teaching in high school chemistry teaching, then evaluate and analyze the actual situation for the purpose of the progress and design on strategies during the practice for the future.The sixth part, combined with the study and process of theory and practice in this article, after the summary and analysis, the author gives a suggestion for further study and exploration.
