The new curriculum reform states that classroom teaching should adapt to the evaluation system. An effective implementation of the new evaluation system can most largely promote students’development and teachers can also improve their teaching capacity at the same time; the effects of evaluation in chemistry teaching includes guiding, regulating, diagnosis function, identification and incentive effect. These will affect the quality of the classroom teaching of chemistry.The questions regarding the new curriculum, which has been spread gradually to a deeper level, has drawn attentions and concerns from many teachers and scholars. For example, what differences has happened to the chemistry teaching evaluation system? Is it in compliance with the new Curriculum Reform Standards? Whether its effects promote students’and teachers’development? What specific problems might happen in the process of teaching practice?This study is based on some interviews and surveys done in some high schools which have implemented the New Curriculum Standards. The purpose is to become clear of the current situation of the implementation of new curriculum system and the existing problems and the reasons. The effects of the new curriculum towards the chemistry teaching will also be shown to us through this process. Therefore, it will provide some valuable material for the further implementation of New Curriculum Standards.There are five chapters in the thesis.Chapter one:introduction. This paper mainly presents the research background, literature review and the whole structure of the thesis and the specific methods.Chapter two:theories provided for the high school evaluation research. This chapter presents some basic theories for the new evaluations system, some related principles of the new evaluation system and its standards.Chapter three mainly involves the current situation of the new curriculum reform in high school chemistry teaching. The problems and the reasons will also be analyzed. The author has made an investigation from the perspective of evaluation content and evaluation method, in order to better understand the changes of evaluation and its achievement.Chapter4mainly presents some suggestions for the implementation of the new evaluation system in the high school chemistry teaching from the perspective of theory and practice. The theory includes:the new concept study, a deep transformation of our thoughts and the construction of teaching evaluation system. The procedures are:the creation of a good atmosphere for the chemistry classroom teaching; the improvement of the teachers’ quality, the implementation of various training program; the setting up of various mechanisms of welfare; in the end the author put forward the markov chain evaluation system, so as to enrich the chemistry evaluation system, and its positive effects has been proved through some specific examples. And then we come to the conclusion that the new evaluation system is surely a good and effective evaluation system which can best perform the function of evaluation in the whole teaching process.The end of the thesis summarizes the whole study and its problems.
