Geographical thought and geographical method of implementation and training has become an important component of a new geographical curriculum reform, The curriculum standards of senior high school for geographical thought and geographical method also has specific requirements. Therefore, this thesis select the"Geographical one"(PEP) for the study, using geographical thought and geographical method of the theory of literature research, lectures and interviews on-site investigation, a combination of theory and the geography teaching materials , thematic analysis research of"Geographical one", to draw the following conclusions:Firstly, geographical thought is an idea to analyze, treat and solve problems of geography activities, such as formation and use of the concept of thought in Geography events."Geographical One"shows four categories which include 12 kinds of geographical thought.They are the relationship between people and the nature, space concepts, regular physical geography, and the earth view of the four categories. They include 12 types of thought: the geographical process of thought, thought a causal relationship, the overall and differences idea of the geographical environment, space concepts, concept of the Earth , the relationship between people and the nature , of which contains ideas of the resources, and environmental concept, the global concept, the disaster concept and sustainable development. The geographical thought is comprehensive, accurate, thorough. It reflects the basic idea of the physical geography and get the goal of the"feelings, attitudes and values". It is an important component of the embodiment which shows the scientific thought. The manifestation is the combination of dominant and recessive form. It is the soul which is contained in the geographic context. It is the guide of the usage of geographical methods, and plays an important role to develop students'scientific thought.Secondly, geographical method is the unique scientific ways of thinking and behavior which reveals the geographical environment and human activities and the geographical environment of the mysteries of the relationship between access to new geographical knowledge and geographical study."Geographical one"embodies in three kinds and 13 types of geography methods. It is to collect, organize geographic information methods; present, analyze and solve geographic problems; expression, communication, results-based approach to reflect the three types of geography. They include description, chart law, discuss, observation method, literature, geographical experimental method, comparative law, induction and deduction, general analysis, prediction method and classification method. There are a lot of geographical content, it is the basic embodiment of the physical geography of the basic method. It emphasis on reasoning, inquiring, flexible and diverse forms and they are the"process approach"to implement the goal,It is an important component of the embodiment of the scientific method. Through the dominant and recessive form of the performance of secondary, it is a way to responses geographical thought and deals with geographical content. It plays an important role to develop the students'scientific methods.Thirdly, the lacks of geographical thought and geographical method in"Geographical one"are: 1.Which is not perfect and lacks of geographical thought in the concept of the ocean, the evolution of the Earth concept; Lacks geographical field trips and social investigation of geography, monitoring method and some discussion of the law content; Geographical experimental methods and the content of modern physical geography less; observation has designed deviation; Lacks data shows of describe the atmospheric heating process, the nine planets should be replaced the eight major planets in the further revision of the contents. 2. The lack of goal fieldwork cultivate law. 3. Lacks expressions of geographical thought and method of knowledge links and the term link, and the function of that introduce a whole; The types of the pictures are rich and it is better to use the schematic ones. As the colors of the pictures are not bright and beautiful enough, it has a few open to question; Part of the contents of the lack of geographic thought wrap-up, indicative of the statement.The last but not least, the proposal of teaching and edit: 1.To establish the geographical idea of teaching concepts and methods; Implement the teaching objectives of geographical thought and method ; Focus on geographical thought and methods of teaching evaluation. 2. Complete the content of geographical thought and geographical method , add to field trips, geography social survey method;Revise the law of observe and the observation method, increase designs of experiment method, discussion and methods of modern physical geography; Complement the data of atmosphere heating process; Put the results of scientific research into the geographical teaching materials; Increase the term links and knowledge links with geographical thought and geographical method, the summary of the statement, the designs of details about function and the introduction; The pictures should be designed more bright, beautiful, and revise several pictures.
