The Research For The Opportunity Equalization Of The Higher Education Under The Perspective Of Socialist Harmonious Society Construction

According to the General Secretary Hu Jintao's report at the 17th National Congress of the CPC :"the education is the cornerstone of the national rejuvenation, and the educational equity is an important foundation for social justice". Constructing a harmonious society and realize all-round development of people, on the implementation of education is to achieve equal educational opportunities. The higher education is regarded as the"great instrument"by providing people a fair competitive opportunities and the chance for upward mobility,helping disadvantaged people improve their survival status ,and reducing the unfairness of the society . However, the inequitable phenomena of higher education in China is still quite prominent at present , which had fight against the construction requirement of the harmonious society,and the problem of the equal higher education became the focus of the society . Therefore, at the times of implementing the concept of scientific outlook development and constructing the harmonious society, it is very critical and urgent to discuss how to achieve the equal state of getting the higher education opportunity.The equal higher education opportunity is very complicated that it is impacted by various factors and including the equal opportunity of the entrance , process and the result. So the research of this article is mainly limited to the entrance equal opportunity of the higher education .In this paper, based on the review of the research about the equal higher education opportunity in and abroad, we analysis the present stage of China's unfair higher education opportunities, making the cause analysis about it, and finally make some suggestions about how to deal with this unfair problem to realize the equal state.The first part"foreword"briefly has introduced the study of the problem with it's significance and reviewed the related theory; The second part introduced the recognized and development process of the"equal opportunities of the higher education"problem and clarified some definition about the key concept; The third part did the cause analysis about the inequitable phenomena of higher education in China; The fourth part expounded the significance of the equal higher education opportunity for the construction of the harmonious society by combining with the thought of"Scientific Concept of Development"; And for the fifth part, based on summing up the cause analysis mentioned above about the inequitable opportunity of higher education, has made some suggestions on how to realize the target of equal higher education opportunity.
