A Study Of Tourism Impacts On Residents' Quality Of Life In Hangzhou

Along with the quickly development of tourism industry, the tourism impacts on the destination society has been focused by people. As the best tourism city of China, Hangzhou has a quick development in tourism industry, while coming along with the more and more notable influences on the economy, society, environment, etc. However the studies of impacts brought by tourism industry were very weak, especially on the impacts on residents' life. This paper starts from the study of resident's quality of life(QOL), and take use of the evaluation index system of residents' QOL in the city, and then investigating the impacts that the development of Hangzhou tourism industry on city's residents' QOL.Firstly, this paper expounds the time background and meaning of the study on the theme of the tourism impacts on residents' QOL in theory, on the basis of the previous studies. Then taking Hangzhou as an example, and take full advantage of the Hangzhou's data to give an exploration study on the Hangzhou tourism impacts on the residents' QOL with the methods of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, from two aspects: objective and subjectivity life quality. Lastly, this paper gives some advices about in what way tourism industry stimulates residents' QOL getting better.The first chapter is the introduction, which explain the background and meaning of this study theme, and then determine the train of thought and study methods.Chapter2 is the document summarizing of the tourism industry impacts on local residents' QOL. This chapter summarizes ancestors' studies of QOL and tourism impacts, and then gives the study direction by analyzing the connection and development tendency of two.Chapter 3 discusses the tourism industry impacts on local residents' QOL in theory. This chapter sums up the relevance theories about the tourism industry impacts on local residents' QOL. On the basis of analyzing the object and subject index system of local residents' QOL, this paper gives an exploration study to the influence tourism industry has on residents' QOL from object and subject aspects.Chapter 4 is the demonstration study of the influence of the development of Hangzhou's tourism industry has on residents' QOL. This chapter discusses the interrelated relationship of the development of Hangzhou's tourism industry and the local residents' QOL, on the basis of Hangzhou's yearbooks and the data collected by Hangzhou tourism committee, and then give the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to the influence of the development of Hangzhou's tourism industry has on residents' QOL from object and subject aspects. Finally this paper makes a conclusion.Chapter 5 is some advises to the government. Guided by sustainable development theory, this chapter gives some advises about how to take use of tourism industry to provoke Hangzhou residents' QOL, in order to control the negative effects on residents' QOL brought by the development of tourism industry, and carry forward the positive and active effects.The last chapter is some concluding remarks.
