In 2001,China launched a new round of curriculum reform of basic education, which required teachers to change from the concept to the practice,especially in classroom teaching and professional growth way.The School-based Research is based on school education teaching work and the kind of teaching research method that the object is to solve all kinds of school problems,its purpose is to promote students'self-improvement and teachers'specialization.School-based Research is an essential requirement for contemporary school development and teachers'growing, including clarifying the direction and importance of teaching revolution.However, the current empirical study on school-based research are very few,and the research of middle school politics teachers participating in school-based teaching and research are much fewer.The research on the present situation about the middle school politics teachers participating in the"school-based teaching and research"not only improve politics teachers specialization but deepen new curriculum reform.It also studies the present situation on the middle school politics teachers participating in the"school-based teaching and research",taking Urumqi as an example,through the way of questionnaires,interviews and observation.It analyzes what politics teacher did in participating school-based research.The purpose of that is to make suggestions for the political teachers improving of current situation and capacity in Urumqi and other areas.Through the investigation,it is showed that the education and research department attached great importance to the politics teachers research in Urumqi, and committed to education and scientific research,middle school politics teachers actively participating school-based teaching and research,with a lot of experience and results.But there are still some problems,including:first of all,the politics teachers lack of significance to the new curriculum reform meaning and the relationship between them,and the ability of research,especially the scientific research methods;the ability of self-reflect is weak,don't have right methods to solve, the communication capacity in-depth is weak.Secondly, the school lack of financial support to the teaching and research activities,and teaching and research activities of the political groups not institutionalized;the content and methods of teaching and research are single, not enough incentive mechanism and not exist a scientific evaluation mechanism.Finally,from the social point of view,the lack of experts guiding and attention to theory, neglecting practice.To solve the problem,this article comes up with ways to carry out school-based teaching and research in the following aspects:Firstly,politics teacher should view school-based study as an effective way to upgrade their education and research ability;Secondly,the school should offer a good ecological environment for political teachers to participate in school-based teaching and research;Thirdly,the educational authorities should increase the concerns of political teachers.
