As we all known, the issue of population is always the significant theme that affects China's both history and future. The Chinese populition policy whose main content is Family Planning in China has being carried on and popularized in national wide spare no effort and the trend of increaseing speedily of population has been controlled effectly. The first generation of One-Child who were born after the "later, thin and little" population policy in late 1970s begin entering the period of marriage and borning since the 21st century. The couple who are both One-Child can procreate two children in most areas of China according Chinese population policy. More and more One-Child families accord with the population policy above with the time passing by. It is beyond any suspicion that their child-bearing desire and their choice of bearing strategy will effect greatly the changing tide of the future population in China. Accordingly, the child-bearing desire becomes the main subject to which more and more pepole pay attention gradually. The child-bearing desire not only is the scientific subject that is researched in both sociology and demology but also the practical problem must be paid attention by government in making the policy choice and programming the plan of population development.The child-bearing desire of the special social group, that is to say, the One-Child couples, is investigated systemly in this thesis. First of all, the general situation of the child-bearing desire of the One-Child couples is narrated. At the same time that the desire of procreate two children is obvious relatively and the phenomenon of boys-preferred is fading away gradually is the evidence of loving grils. Then the influencing factors of these general situation are discussed. The economic factors and the needs of individuals' development are the important elements which influence the child-bearing desire of One-Child couples. Finally, the relationships between the child-bearing desire of One-Child couples and the problem of aging and sex ratio imbalance are discussed respectively taking the Chinese population policy as a hinge.
