A Practice Study On Home-based Early Intervention For The Children With Developmental Disorder In Chongqing

Recently, the topic of early detect,early diagnosis,early intervention on children with developmental disorder was widely discussed. Author is looking for methods to solve the problems that she encountered during the clinical work on early intervention of developmental disorder children.The purpose of this research is to find a proper home-based pattern of early intervention to help the developmental disorder children (0-6years old) and their family in Chongqing main town area. Through the practical research, we are looking forward to establishing a proper service pattern of early intervention for the local children with development disorders and their family, and finding the way to cooperate with different professionals in the home-based service pattern. This article mainly studies the following aspects: (1) The service procedure of family early intervention; (2) The measuring method of developmental disorder children and their family. (3)The planning and execution of individual family service plan (IFSP). (4) Cooperation of family; (5) the result of plan's execution.To reach the goal of the topic, this research uses case study and action research, ranged from China mainland and Chongqing area's actual condition of early intervention, borrowing the valuable experience of foreign countries, found a localized method for Chongqing family, made a fixed service procedure of early intervention, and used on 20 developmental disorder children and their families. The result shows that:(1) The effects on children: among the cases of 20, after at least one term of house-call service, 55% of children was transited successfully, including 20% of children to kindergarten and primary school, 35% of children to special education school.(2) The effects on family: 97% of parents was satisfied about the project work.(3) The lack of law protection on the early intervention of developmental disorder children, it causes slow development of the project.(4) Lack of resource, lack of manpower on the early intervention area.(5) The three systems: medical treatment,education and rehabilitation are running individually, lack of interaction, affects the quality of service.Lastly, some problems and suggestions: (1)establish of the law and political protection on early intervention; (2) publicity of early intervention; (3)emphasis on the research of the early intervention pattern; (4) the training of specialist on early intervention; (5) promotion of team cooperation.
