The cultivation of the creative thinking is the necessity of a county's development, the demand of the improvement of a people's scientific qualities, also the need of the reform of the curriculum. It is a subject of great value and of realistic significance to research into how to cultivate students' creative thinking by taking advantage of the generative features and the components of image in the class of Chinese poetry in middle school.As a basic unit of poetry, it is the key for appreciation of the poetry. In terms of connotation, image refers to that the poet's emotion is immersed in the poetry. As for thinking mode, image is mainly based upon the thinking in images. As to the generative features, image is perceptible, original, and with implication. All these provide the objective possibilities for cultivating the creative thinking of students.The research is theoretically based upon psychology and education. In the case study, the subjects are two middle school students. With the purpose of exploring into the cultivation of middle school students' creative thinking from the perspective of image learning, the present thesis is organized in this way. Chapter one is the preface, in which the author introduces the reason for carrying out the research, the significance of the research, the research approach; also defines and analyses image, creative thinking, and so on, which compose the theoretical framework of the present research. Chapter two, basing upon the developing history of image, interprets poetry image rationally so as to see the connotation of image. Chapter three is the case study, which explores into and analyses the generative features and the artistic creative approaches of the three components of image, i.e.,"person","scenery"and"substance"for probing into the relation between image and creative thinking. Chapter four induces the problems in the present image learning so as to find out the crucial reasons of the problem. Chapter five, basing on the case study, tries to put forward practicable and significant strategies and suggestions, enriching the theory and the practice of the cultivation of middle school students' creative thinking.It is a new subject that researching on middle school students' creative thinking in terms of image learning. The present thesis combines theory with practice, demonstrating how to develop students' creative thinking during the image learning, with the purpose of exploring into the relationship between image and creative thinking, and discusses the feasibility of cultivating students' creative thinking in the image learning, so as to provides the future teaching and learning with profitable experience and reference.
