Analysis Of Population Development State And Existent Problems In Urban District Of Hohhot

The research is based on the 5th national census and the Economy Statistical Almanac from 1995 to 2006 in urban district of Hohhot. The changing trends about quantity and structural of Hohhot's population have been analyzed. The population pyramid of the 5th district census of Hohhot has been drawn. The gender composition of the population, the population dependency coefficient, sex ratio at birth, the city of childbearing age women's fertility rate, total fertility rates and family planning rate of the 5th district census have been calculated. The problems of population development have been found. All the work will be a foundation for the future development of population and family planning policies, as well as macro-control population and the improvement of the quality of population.Some conclusion can be drawn, such as the quantity of population in urban district of Hohhot is in negative trend, the urban district of Hohhot has been entered the old-age society in 2006, the total dependency coefficient of population is below the national average, the ratio of birth gender is higher than the balance limit, and the significant effectiveness of family planning has been made.At the same time, advices have been put forward from holding the low birth rate, improving the population structure, preparing for the aging of society to address these problems.
