Nowadays, more and more schools make constructing school culture as their developing goals. However, how to construct it is always a question that many school managers discussing and pondering. With the developing of theoretical and practice of school culture, the role of school institutional culture is realized. Many schools successfully improve the lever of school culture by constructing the school institutional culture. However, some schools following the trends or others' to set up themselves institution systems , then it comes to be a block to the development of school. And it's common to find many schools are lack of institutions, and the unpractical or unrealistic institutions are also generally found. The reason for this is there are deviations in realizing the school institutional culture.According to the relationship between the institution and culture, and a successful example, the author considers constructing school institutional culture is an effective approach to enhancement of school culture. So, the thesis focuses on the way to construct school institutional culture.Based on theoretic and a case study in middle school , the thesis is intended to describe the process of school institution culture construction. Then it finds the institutionalization process of school is not only a process of establishing and strengthening regulations and institutions, but also a process to foster school values among school staffs and students. So the thesis thinks constructing institution culture should include remodeling the common value system, producing high-quality institutions system and implementing the institutions efficiently.The thesis is organized into five parts: in the first part, the background, the goal ,the current research on this field and research methods are described. The second part is the basis of the research. It distinguishes the school culture, the school institution and the school institution culture by the theoretical analysis. Based on the analysis, the school institution culture is defined, and characteristics, layers and functions of it are described. the following two parts are a case study of F school. Through the case studies, we can realized why and how the F school reconstruct its institutions culture. Finally, based on the front parts, the author gives some suggestions in how to strengthen or reconstruct the school institution culture.
