It is a comparative study of mathematics curriculum standards for high school between China and the United States. The objects of the study are Mathematics Curriculum Standard for High School in China, and College Board Standards for College Success: Mathematics and Statistics and Mathematics Curriculum Framework (Massachusetts Department of Education) in the United States。Researchers used literature method and comparative method to study this question. Firstly, compare the characteristics, similar and difference of curriculum goals, curriculum ideas, curriculum frameworks and curriculum setting in three curriculum standards, then try to explain the difference. Secondly, the contents of three curriculum standard were divided into four parts: algebra, geometry and measurement, probability and statistics, calculus, compare the characteristics, similar and difference of each part in three curriculum standards, then try to explain the difference. Thirdly, drew the conclusion of the study: 1.the goal of mathematics curriculum standard for high school between China and the United States reflect their own advantage;2.the ideas of mathematics curriculum standard for high school between China and the United States are similar; 3.the basic framework of mathematics curriculum standards for high school between China and the United States are similar , the ways to arrange the framework are various ; 4.Chinese students have more opportunities to choose various mathematics courses than American students; 5.the contents of mathematics curriculum standard for high school between China and the United States are similar , but emphasis on different parts; 6.the arrangements for the content standard of mathematics curriculum standard for high school between China and the United States are similar。The enlightenments for mathematics curriculum reform in China are as follows, 1. Development of mathematics curriculum should succeed the advantage of traditional mathematics curriculum and utilize others work. 2. Mathematics curriculum standards should base on research work and focus on the development of students; 3. The system of teacher education should be complete in China, the professional development of mathematics teachers should be improved; 4.The appropriate evaluation system of student academic achievement in mathematics curriculum should be set up in China. The study can be used as a source of reference for the mathematics curriculum reform for high school in China.
