The Occupational Identity And Related Factors Research For Kindergarten Teacher

At the current construction of China socialist market economy and economic globalization, the restructuring of industries to upgrade, the income disparities,the competition and opening up of employment, and full employment system for teachers, which has had a profound impact in the value orientation of the teaching occupation. And add to the community expectation to teachers, the poor local educational environment, plus the over-burdened and so on,under such circumstances, many teachers have the negative experience. So we need to introduce a "teacher's occupational identity" concept to explore a correct understanding of teaching occupation in the new situation, the significances of dedicating to our education.Kindergarten education is an important part of our country in the foundation of education, and the foundation stage of school education and lifelong education. It has to be a good foundation for the development of children life. However, whether to love children, to recognize thrie occupation, for these teachers, not only affect the healthy growth of children physically and mentally, but also the physical and psychological health of teachers in early childhood education, as well as their own development and the implementation of self-worth.Therefore this study set entitled "The occupational identity and related factors research for Kindergarten teacher", to investigate and analysis the Kindergarten teachers' the current status in occupational identity and their resignation tendency.In this study, drawing on relevant research at home and abroad, combined with the actual work of teachers in early childhood education, to collect typical behavior characteristics of the kindergarten teachers in occupational identity, to design and assessment the questionnaires of kindergarten teachers' occupational identity, combining with turnover tendency and job satisfaction scales for research tools , The study sample was from different types kindergarten teachers of LianyunGang in JiangSu province, examining the status and differences of their occupational identity, and in-depth exploration the relationships among the occupational identity, job satisfaction and teachers' resignation tendencyStudy results showed that:(1).The occupational identity Questionnaire for Kindergarten teachers had good reliability and validity; (2).Kindergarten teachers in the degree of occupational identity and the various dimensions factor scores were higher; (3). Teachers' occupational identity of different groups showed significant differences, however, the variables "academic","Class" and "Class size" in these areas, had no difference between occupational identity.(4).The relationships among occupational identity, job satisfaction and the resignation tendency were found as follows:â‘ The teachers' occupational identity and the job satisfaction had significant positive correlation; the resignation tendency and occupational identity had significant negative correlation.â‘¡The resignation tendency and occupational identity had a significant causality; the job satisfaction of teachers' showed a significant causality to the resignation tendencyâ‘¢Between the teachers' occupational identity and job satisfaction had an interaction, which combined effect of teaches' resignation tendency together; however, the occupational identity had a larger degree of influence to resignation tendency..â‘£The occupational identity had a conditioning effect in relationship between job satisfaction and resignation tendency. There were two situation:(A) when the variable satisfaction was at the same premise, those teachers who had a higher lever of career identity were lower degree in resignation tendency; (B)when the variable satisfaction was at the same premise, those teachers who had a lower lever of career identity were higher degree in resignation tendency.
