In the new century, education in China is facing fundamental changes. How to provide better moral education to the college students is key to the preparation of future talents for the cause of Socialism in China, and is directly related to the great rejuvenation of China. As an important base to provide the country with future sports talents, the Sports Institutes aim to cultivate creative sports talents who at the same time have practical skills. As an important part of the daily work in Sports Institute, moral education shows the spirit of a school, and is a major demonstrator of a school's administrative work. This paper has made abundant literature review, questionnaires, QQ interviews, go-to-the-field interviews, mathematical analysis and statistical analysis. On the basis of this, with the administrators, political teachers, school counselors and bachelor students of 14 Sports Institutes as subjects, this paper discusses the moral education in Sports Institutes by analyzing the characteristics of modern students and the student leaders, by studying the modern campus culture, campus media, and campus psychological education, and by looking into the differences of Chinese and foreign college education..According to a survey, students in Sports Institutes are livelier and most of them are not from very wealthy families. Some of the students are kind of willful, selfish and lazy. Newly emerged media like the internet has brought up a new platform for the moral education in Sports Institutes. While the newly emerged media brings opportunities for the moral education in Sports Institutes, it also generates great challenges for the traditionally student work. It is the political teachers and school counselors who are conducting the moral education in Sports Institutes; however, the imbalanced ratio of full time and part time teachers and the job rating system have affected the enthusiasm of those teachers. Students in Sports Institutes not only share the common psychological problems with students from other colleges, but also have some special psychological problems due to their engagement in sports. With further development of globalization, the moral education of our school is also facing great opportunities and at the same time, great challenges. In order to strengthen the morale education, Sports Institutes should put more effort and emphasis in the moral education of students, and help the students to shape healthy "three-view". Training programs are necessary to improve the theoretical level of school counselors. A good "two-course" atmosphere is beneficial to students, and modern media should be explored to improve the moral education. Campus culture should be paid great attention in order to provide a good environment for students to live and study. Psychological health of students also should be attached great importance. Finally, communication with other universities and Sports Institutes both domestic and abroad should also be strengthened.
