With the popularization of nine-year compulsory education, the enrollment of our school-age children is increasing in minority areas. Meanwhile, the various problems of basic education are becoming gradually apparent. This thesis studies the dilemma of primary education in the villages of Dong minority of Southeast Guizhou, analyses the bottleneck constraints of primary school development and puts forward reasonable proposals to the development of basic education in ethnic areas, which has important practical significance for changing the basic education ideology, choosing rational education resources and achieving sustainable development on basic education in minority areas.This study chooses a primary school in Dong village as subject investigated, which explores the relationship between the school education and the development of dong village, pursues deep-rooted reasons of the plight and the potential development in Dong Village Primary Education. Thus this endogenous power could promote the basic education in minority areas healthily. According to the cultural-ecology paradigm of the Ogbu, the study uses the field of cultural theory, cultural-choice theory, cultural-adaptation theory and the field research supplemented by literature method, focusing on the educational resources, teacher status and education aims. The main results are:1.From the perspective of educational input mechanism, the study chooses the field theory of cultural anthropology and the related knowledge of educational resources, analyzing the imbalance reasons on the allocation of educational resources and the implied cultural conflict. To propose the content-type growth of educational resources, it needs financial inputs, market regulation, government policy control, resource optimization disposal. In this subject, the imbalance causes reflect culture conflict between the mainstream culture and the Dong culture. It also shows a phenomenon, which is not only the shortage of educational resources, but also resource-wasting.2. On diversification of teacher education, the study analyses the impact factors on teachers'problems by using the cultural adaptation theory.The key point of the development of minority basic education, which lies in promoting teachers'cultural adaptation development in the multicultural context.3. From the perspective of ethnic basic education Concept, according to the cultural selection theory, the characters of minority duality and the nature of education, this section not only expresses the cultural identity crises of Dong students, which results them in increasingly integrating into the mainstream culture and alienating their ethnic culture. But also reveals that the requirements of modern school education are consistent with Dong people demand.Finally, the research summarizes the plight on Primary School of dong minority village, proposing to learn the unique and harmony cultural transmission mechanism from zhanli village. For consideration of local conditions,the study puts forward specific measures to integrate community resources with school resources,it will be an effective way on resource allocation, to promote teachers' diversity development will be the best way to survive their adaptability in the minority areas; to establish the diversity values of school education will be the key way to solve the difficulties made by school and combine with local community for meeting Dong people's harmonious development.
