Teachers' educational value orientation is a set of teachers' belief system on their choices and value judgment, which contains teaching target, contents, method, and progress. It belongs to the field of values as well as has the direct signification to the teacher's teaching behavior.According to the third regulation in the latest revision of the People's Republic of China compulsory education law in 2006:The compulsory education must implement the State's educational policies, execute quality education, improve quality of education, make school-age children and teenagers comprehensively develop in the moral qualities,inteligence,constitution,at the same time, it lays the foundation for cultivating socialistic builders and successors with lofty ideals,integrety,knowledge and a strong sense of discipline. The law shows that to carry through quality education is the value orientation of compulsory education in our country. Teachers in compulsory education schools are professionals whose duty is to fulfill State basic education and teaching responsibilities.Therefore,they should persist the value orientation of quality education and implement quality education.However after the field trips and analyses of middle school teachers' teaching behaviour,we discovered that middle school teachers had adopted examination-oriented education as their value orientation, and there exists dislocation in their value orientation.The main reasons of dislocation in their value orientation are:multiple educational values cause middle school teachers feel loss in educational value orientation; unreasonable teacher assessments forces teachers to implement examination-oriented education and abandon the correct educational value orientation;Finally,the quality of middle school teachers is not high so that they can not persist value orientation of quality education.Therefore, to guarantee middle school teachers' quality education valueorientation, We have to strengthen teachers' education values education, help teachers form quality education values, reform the unreasonable teacher assessments, establish the teacher evaluating system of quality education and improve teachers' abilities of implementing quality education.
