With the outstanding background of globalization and information- nization, the education of China in the 21st century is just in the period of turning style. It is unavoidable for examination oriented education to take the place of quality oriented education. As the way of connecting reality with social life, the current affairs education of the senior politics must stress the related study and research, adapting to the demand of times and making its own answer.The contemporary middle school students have wide sight and active thoughts, especially senior students, who desire to know about society. They hope the teachers can be sensitive to explain their puzzles with persuasive theories. In the long period of teaching practice, I have found that the aimed senior current affairs education is popular with students. But with the leadership of examination oriented education has the matriculation tests. Current affairs education hasn't conducted its educational function. So it has become a subject which must be valued and solved in no time. Thinking of that, I expect, through the research of this subject to seek the issues and reasons existing in this field, to seek the principles and methods and provide some consideration for current affairs education to form a scientific pattern.Adopting come research methods, such observation, survey connecting with practice and so on. This article does complete, deep and systematic research on such issues as its basic intensive and importance, its state and cause analyzing, methods and effective factors.The first chapter mainly throws light on the meaning, characteristics and value of current affairs education. The article defines the intensive and extensive of current affairs education with the difference and relationship between current affairs education and politics teaching, further trying to define the senior current affairs education. Meanwhile,the characteristics and value of the senior education are analyzed in different ways.The second chapter analyses the present state and questions of current affair education. In fact, this education lives a false name as for the exam oriented education,namely in a difficult situation. It mainly exists in the following: directive thoughts are for the purpose of passing knowledge, regardless of ability and thinking education;the aim is unilaleral,the content is ostensible, the effect is utililarian,the estimation is unique, the teachers' thoughts and personal quality have influence over the teaching effect;the students, who act as the body of learning activity and important course resource, are severely ignored;current affairs education lacks theoretical research, thus leading to a mistaken knowledge of the subject character.The third chapter is about the exploration and rebuilding of current affairs education. Firstly by meeting the psychology of high school students, it becomes the main form that current affairs education is saturated into the process of politics teaching;current affairs education is mixed with everyday teaching and social surveys are also effective ways to educate.Secondly, in order to conduct the education, the quality of the politics staff must be improved. Teachers must study the psychology of students, promote their understanding, increase their ability of educating by using net resources and helping students collect and arrange these resources and wisdom of education. Finally, appeal is made that further strengthening current affairs education demands the participation and teamwork of all sides.
