Lu Cho-fu was a famous patriotic entrepreneur, pioneer of Beibei rural construction and educator. He was praised as one of four industrialists who could not be forgotten in the development of national industry by Chinese chairman Mao Ze-dong. Based on his contribution to society, his thoughts were paid more attention by scholars in and out of China. Some scholars focused on Lu Cho-fu's economic and business administration thoughts (Professor Ling Yao-lun & Professor Xiong Fu), some studied on Lu Cho-fu's rural construction and modernization in Beibei (Professor Liu Chong-lai & Professor Zhou Ming-ming) and others focused on Lu Cho-fu's educational thoughts (Professor Xu Zhong-lin & Professor Wu Hong-cheng). The dissertation tried to study on Lu Cho-fu's thoughts of vocational education deeply and systemically. His vocational education thoughts and practices not only included pre-vocational education such as education in Beibei Practical Primary School and Jian-shan Middle School but also included staff and worker's education in Ming Sung Industrial CO.LtD②. However few scholars noticed Lu Cho-fu's vocational education theory and practices in Beibei Practical Primary School and Jian-shan Middle School. It is necessary that we should systematically and deeply research on Lu Cho-fu's thoughts of vocational education. The dissertation included 5 parts:The first part mainly introduced the purpose of this research, central concepts, and literature reviewing of Lu Cho-fu's vocational education, research methods, difficulties and innovations of the research.Part 2nd reviewed Lu Cho-fu's brief biography and his vocational education practices. In Lu Cho-fu's brief experiences focused on a lot of important things in his life. Lu Cho-fu's vocational education practices included two parts. One part is the pre-vocational education in Beibei Practical Primary School and Jian-shan Middle School and so on. The other part is staff and worker's education in Ming Sung Industrial CO.LtD.Part 3rd analyzed the formation reasons of Lu Cho-fu's thoughts of vocational education from the aspects of the background of Lu Cho-fu's living, influence from Chinese and west culture, his own experience of teaching & educational reform and the persons who given him influence in vocational education methods such as John·Dewey, J. Beech, Huang Yan-pei and so on.Part 4th summarized Lu Cho-fu's thoughts of vocational education. In his thoughts of vocational education focused on the view of macro vocational education, aim of his vocational education, content of his vocational education and methods of his vocational education and so on.The conclusion part summarized the traits of Lu Cho-fu's thoughts of vocational education and evaluated the contemporary values of his thoughts of vocational education and given some useful suggestions to the development of vocational education.
