With the continuous progress of the new curriculum reform of English, its ideas have been gradually received and understood by educators, especially English teachers . This promotes the changes of teachers'ideas, and it also greatly pushes the teachers forward to make further learning and changes, so that they can adapt to the new curriculum requirements as soon as possible. As an important part of curriculum reform ---- curriculum resources are a great challenge to English teachers at the same time. We know that curriculum resources are premise and guarantee for making curriculums work successfully. That is to say, we cannot realize our teaching if we don't have rich and scientific curriculum resources. The ideas of new curriculum resources based on the original ones are completely fresh and adaptable to the development of modern times. The content, scope, form and function of the curriculum resources are expounded and required more widely , deeply and scientifically. The English teachers can realize the importance of English curriculum resources, but as it is always influenced by many factors in teaching practice,can the new English curriculum resources be effectively used and developed? Are teachers highly aware of how to use and develop curriculum resources reasonably? This paper expounds the importance of English curriculum resources first , and then through the questionnaire, the author tries to find out the status quo of the English teachers in high school------ a general lack of awareness of curriculum resources in English. The author attempts to find out the reasons why this phenomenon appears by further analyzing the data from the survey. And try to put forward some suggestions and solutions as much as possible. At the same time the author also makes a discussion on transferring role of English teachers, the use of curriculum resources, and effective resource development to strengthen the importance of English curriculum resources awareness to the English teachers. At the end of the paper are some of the author's personal suggestions and predictions about the developing direction of English teachers'awareness of curriculum resources in high school.
