Education issues affect the growth of peasant-worker's children, the integration to urban society for migrant workers and the socio-economic transformation. Because of the great differences between rural and urban, such as education system, living custom, localism, and socio-economic status, the migrant children in city face to prominent issues of education adaptation. This study, based on the evidences from cities and towns in Zhejiang Province, firstly described the status and characteristics of migrant children's education in city in four aspects: environment adaptation, learning adaptation, relationship adaptation and, psychological and behavioral adaptation. Then we analyzed the factors to learning adaptation by multinomial logistic regression model. According to the study above, made a number of policy implications.We have the conclusions as follows: The instability of the family environment is not conducive to improving the learning achievement for migrant children in city; While harmonious relations with community and peers are conducive; The migrant children in city want to integrate into urban communities, but encounter difficulties in localism and discrimination, which are conducive to improving the learning achievement for them; Learning achievement of migrant children in city divided the upper and lower obviously, most of them want to change the status by hardworking, which is conducive to improving the learning achievement of them; Learning attitude, purpose, discipline and a sense of belonging have a major impact on learning achievement; Migrant children in city concern their family, but some are a little withdrawn.We suggest that community should set up institution aiming at families of migrant worker, to help them integrate into the community, foster a sense of ownership to improve the sense of belonging to city; improve the comprehensive management of school district and regulate public schools serving migrant children, to reduce the fluctuation of education environment for migrant children.
