Study On The Adaptation Of Migrant Children Returnees

With the scale of migrant children expands year by year and the lag of educational policy's reformation, a large number of migrant children who are not permitted to enter in urban regular high school for they have no registered permanent residence. This kind of children were called migrant children returnees, they face the whole change of living environment which will cause social adaptation problems definitely.This research takes migrant children returnees as the object. The author collected qualitative data through field investigation in S County, Henan, the specific methods include Partly Participant Observation, Depth Interview and Document Collection. Based on the data analysis, the article probed the condition of migrant children returnees' social adaptation in three dimensions:cultural adaptation, interpersonal communication adaptation and psychological adaptation.The research finds that migrant children returnees' social adaptation is defective, which shows in three aspects:1. Cultural adaptation, the migrant children returnees are not accommodative of living conditions, school environment and community environment.2. Interpersonal communication adaptation, they have problems when associating with their rural families and classmates, their social relationship develops unhealthily.3. Psychological adaptation, almost all of the migrant children returnees have psychological problem despite the different levels due to the Parent-child Separation, Fellow Separation and the sense of out of control.
