A Study Of Learners' Role Behavior In Distance Learning

The constant development of information technology, network technology and communication technology brings a profound influence on every aspects of people. Digital, networking and intelligent social environment has changed people's lifestyles, learning styles and ways of thinking. The advantages of the Internet in the field of education are also increasingly evident. So many scholars in the field of education begin to become increasingly concerned about the distance learners.This paper is based on the previous research of learners'role behavior in the network, and takes "Intel Teach to the Future" Online Core Course as the example. It analyses the learning behavior of distance learners from different aspects and raises some questions to be solved.First of all, according to literature research, this paper found some problems in the previous research of learners'role behavior in distance learning. Based on that, it designs new research ideas and research questions.Secondly, this paper explains simply the study case, and introduces the research process and research programs. At the same time, based on the analysis of previous studies of the framework, it builds a suitable framework for data analysis in this paper.Thirdly, in this paper, it uses the statistical method to analyze the quantity of learners'participation in the online course. But also it uses content analysis to measure the quality of their participation. And on this based, the distance learners have been classified in the same time, the behavioral characteristics of various types of learners were analyzed. In particular, the use of social network analysis of the interactions of learners does in detail.Fourthly, for different types of distance learners, the paper discusses the reasons for the different learning behaviors and gives several strategies to promote different types of learners to learnFinally, this paper summarizes the results of research and contribution to the study. Also it presents the problems and further research direction.
