The thesis demonstrates the application of interdisciplinary association in class education of Geography from four perspectives. First, the definition of interdisciplinary association in this thesis is given by the comparative study of documentation method. The definition of interdisciplinary association is the transfer and comprehensive understanding of knowledge, technique, method, ideology etc. of different disciplines in class education of Geography. And there are two delimitations in this thesis: (1) The interdisciplinary association is dominated by Geography; (2) The interdisciplinary association is restricted to class education. Next, theoretical foundations of the application of interdisciplinary association in Geography class education are provided in terms of educational psychology, pedagogy and Geography discipline itself, and furthermore, the facilitation of such application to students, teachers, society, disciplines etc. is pointed out. Then, the thesis studies the status quo of the application of interdisciplinary association in both learning and teaching by questionnaire method. The study indicates: (1) Interdisciplinary association is recognized by most teachers and students, but there is a significant disproportion in the selection of disciplines that History and Physics are associated more often, whereas English is associated less; (2) Although situations vary from school to school, the problems in the application of interdisciplinary association commonly focus on the actual practice, the hold on geographic attribute, the arousal of students'interest etc. Based on the result of the questionnaire, this thesis demonstrates the practical tactics of the application of interdisciplinary association from three dimensions: (1) In disciplinary aspect, on the basis of a comprehensive presentation of the association between Geography and other disciplines, a particular emphasis is laid on the association between Geography and English; (2) In operational aspect, the macro-design and specific operation of interdisciplinary association is introduced with actual cases; (3) Generalize the basic requirements of the application of interdisciplinary association. Last, the thesis puts forward some comments and proposals on the application of interdisciplinary association from the perspectives of teachers, students, educational circumstance etc.
