This article is intended to under the new curriculum standards for senior high school basketball in town in Hebei Province to carry out teaching status, and current problems that make feasible suggestions for the Hebei Province, the development of urban high school basketball teaching and provide valuable information for teaching high school basketball town in Hebei Province do contribute to the reform and development. By sending questionnaire to 36 senior schools,1800 students and 108 experienced teachers, combined with literature method, mathematical statistics, interviews, and logic analysis of the impact on the New Curriculum, By Investigating and analyzing the factors of carrying out urban high school basketball in Hebei Province, Concluded as follows:1. Under the new curriculum standards the teaching of basketball's goal in senior high school is not clear, in the process of teaching basketball, physical education teachers not fully take into account the training objectives of the five learning areas.2. Physical teachers are not adapting to "curriculum standards", there are certain difficulties in mastery of teaching techniques and in combining of ideas of game, fitness and basketball teaching ideas。The form of basketball teaching is single, teaching approach is too rigid, the innovation of basketball teaching is insufficient.3. students is pay insufficient attention to the "New Curriculum Standard" the level of physical declines in students, some teaching content is difficult for studying. In the learning process, fear exists, learning enthusiasm is poor especially for female classmates.4. In some schools, basketball court and equipment is less, court and equipment does not meet the standard, there are security risks, the quantity of basketball is fewer, so these can not meet the needs of teaching.5.In urban high schools of Hebei province, The activities carrying out the basketball is less; the atmosphere of basketball sports is poor; spontaneous extra-curricular basketball activities of students is lack of teachers guidance, so the effects is not good.
