In the global multicultural situation, multicultural education was concerned. In modern society, multicultural attainment was required urgently. Our country has vast land and 56 ethnic groups, the harmonious development of all ethnic groups is an important guarantee for the Chinese nation to forge ahead.So it is particularly important to advocate multicultural education, which can enhance students'ethnic identity and improve students to understand other people's ethnic culture, and finally achieve the goal of multi-ethnic harmony. In order to protect the effective implementation of multicultural curriculum, enhance the multicultural understanding and social adaptation of students, combine the multicultural curriculum concepts and our country's multicultural background, which is not only conducive to enhance students' multicultural attainment in minority areas, but also is good for our nation cultural inheritance and innovation.The choice and application of teaching methods directly impact on the effective. implementation of multicultural curriculum. In this study, beginning with the researching of the choice and application of teaching methods, explore the implementation of multicultural curriculum in minority areas. Through a detailed illustration for the meaning and characteristics of. teaching methods in the implementation of multicultural curriculum, and then talk about the theoretical basis and practical conditions, analysis the implementation situation, and described how to rationally choose and apply the teaching methods, at last conclude with some suggestions for changes in teaching methods. The author expects that the study can improve the research of multicultural curriculum.The dissertation consists of six parts:The fist part is introduction. With the commence from modern society avocation the multicultural education and the required of the multicultural education in minority areas, the importance and the value of the study are clarified, and then introduce the system of present research and the method.The second part clarified the basic concepts of the teaching methods in the implementation of the multicultural curriculum. Through the illustration for the meaning and characteristics of the teaching methods, it advocate to understanding the requirements of the multicultural curriculum in the implementation, it is the basic concept of how to rationally choice and adopt the teaching methods.The third part introduces the theoretical basis and practical conditions of the study. The theoretical basis was described, as:philosophical foundation, sociology foundation, psychology foundation and pedagogy foundation. And analysis the practical conditions: the rich multicultural resources, students'urgent need of multicultural education, the support of the three-order curriculum policy.The forth part analysis the implementation situation. In this part author analysis the questions and the reasons in the implementation of multicultural curriculum, it is conducive to raise how to improve the teaching method. The main questions are:teacher consist traditional teaching methods; the implementation of the new teaching methods is not effectively; students dependent on the traditional teaching methods; school and teacher query the reform of the teaching methods. And the main reasons are:teachers are short of the awareness of multicultural curriculum; teachers are deficient in experience in the implementation of the multicultural curriculum; the study surrounding is inadequate for the implementation of the multicultural curriculum; the system of evaluation in teaching is not perfect.The fifth.part talks about how to rationally choose and apply the teaching methods. Through the research of the goal, the content, the way and the process in choosing and applying the teaching methods, discuss how to rationally choose and apply the teaching methods in the implementation of the multicultural curriculum. And author analyzed two cases in order to clarify more clearly.The sixth part put forward some suggestions to change the teaching methods in the implementation of the multicultural curriculum. The suggestions are:combine enhancing teachers'theoretical attainment with strengthen teachers'ability in practice; concern students'life style, exploit the multicultural resources abundantly; increase the money invested for the development of the education in minority areas, improve the teaching surroundings; reform the evaluation methods, construct the rational system of evaluation.
