Cultural diversity is the irreversible trend. Multi-ethnic and multi-cultural have become a basic feature of the world. The less nation-state is, the more multi-nation is. The relationship between national culture and inter-national cultural became an important subject.After World War Ⅱ, with the integration of national culture, Australia became a typical nation of immigrants. The Australian government had implemented the policy of multiculturalism. Ruan Xihu who is a world-famous expert believes that is a new theory which is worthy of our attention. The study of Australian multicultural curriculum makes for the development of multicultural curriculum, not only promote multicultural curriculum theory, enrich theoretical foundation, but also deepen the curriculum reform of basic education, promote the comprehensive development of students and meet the development requirements of the times.From the perspective of a multicultural curriculum, it based on three main theories of multicultural education, use the literature method to understand the multicultural policy. Provide some suggestions for China’s multicultural curriculum by using some teaching cases. This article includes six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction that shows the reason and theoretical and practical significance, define the core concepts.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the multicultural curriculum, including the theory of multiculturalism, the education equality theory and the theory of multicultural curriculum, prompting researchers to understand the multicultural curriculum.The third chapter discusses Australia’s multicultural curriculum development background that focuses on the meaning of multiculturalism policy and the development process of Australia’s multicultural policy, analyzes the new features of Australia’s multicultural policy. The fourth chapter analyzes the development and design of Australia’s multicultural curriculum. On the one hand a comprehensive overview of the countries multicultural curriculum development model outcomes famous scholars, on the other hand analyze and summarize the objectives of Australia’s multicultural curriculum and textbook type.The fifth chapter discusses the implementation of Australia’s multicultural curriculum, including four embodiments:the curriculum integration infiltration methods, the matic-based methods, and simple way to grow and school-based curriculum development approach. Explore the teaching methods, develop lots of outstanding teachers and analyze the curriculum evaluation system. It understands the Australia’s multicultural curriculum evaluation concepts, procedures, scope, analyzes the characteristics of the evaluation system.Chapter VI discusses the successful experience of the Australia multicultural curriculum development, according to China’s actual situation, to explore some advises. Require to establish a concept of multicultural curriculum, government supports policy; clear multicultural curriculum goals, build a harmonious multicultural educational environment; strengthen bilingual education, protect multicultural curriculum implementation; release rights to build local school-based curriculum; build an curriculum to meet the different needs of the region and the students; mining curriculum resources, develop minority culture teaching materials; teachers should foster multicultural values, strengthen multicultural training.This study shows that the Australian multicultural curriculum formed its characteristics in its development process, has important value for the curriculum reform in China, learn from their successful experiences multicultural curriculum. We should combine with the actual conditions of our country, effectively deal with the relationship between culture and the culture of the Han ethnic minorities, to develop the multicultural curriculum system of our country.
