With the process of modernization in our country continuously propelling, tremendous changes have been taking place in our economic and social area. The change of way of economic development demands that market need human resources of variety, and also brings great change to the type and construction of career of the whole society. Under such circumstance, postgraduate education for professional degree provokes in our country. Since the first test education for professional degree in 1991, such education in China has larger and larger scale and more and more types. Until now,19 types of professional degrees with different level and clear construction have set up. However, such education has not been launched for a long time, and so, there are inevitably some problems and misunderstanding during the process of development. Therefore, as the topic of the thesis, the writer hopes to deeply interpret those problems.The thesis mainly makes use of documentary study method and comparison study method to explore the problem of the professional degree construction during its development and try to find the way to solve it. First, the definition of the professional degree construction will be interpreted, and meanwhile, the difference between academic and professional degree will be told, and at last, the study of the level, different subject and distribution of the professional degree will be attached more importance. Secondly, the latest development of such education will be analyzed and such problems as unreasonable ratio of level and subject of our professional degree, the scale of such education being difficult to meet the social need and the similarity between the education mode of professional degree and academic degree will be explored. Based on such problems, the fundamental reason derives from the natural environment and current economic development, less admittance of such education from our society and the disconnection between such education and job-haunting. At last, system construction theory will be applied to this study and oversea advanced experience of such education will be taken. Then way of improving our graduate education for professional degree hopes to be put forward.There is no doubt that there are some unsatisfactory and limited point in this study, and it is hoped that in the coming days this study will be improved.
