In the modern time,reading as one of the most basic language skills, has became an essential way to gain knowledge and science and technology . Therefore, it is extremely important to teach students to learn to read, to master reading methods and to form the good habit of reading. The junior middle school English teaching pay more attention to cultivate the students' reading ability, but due to the fact that traditional English teaching place more emphasis on the basic knowledge such as the vocabulary and grammar, so some English teachers spend much time in imparting knowledge to practice, review and master. However, they do little specialized training, especially the training to improve the thinking ability and reading skills. As a result, the students' ability of reading is not substantially improved. Based on long-term observation and investigation of the teaching class , the author has found that students are not clear in English reading purpose , they are only want to pass the test. They can't realize and understand the importance of reading, which causes poor grades, lack of confidence and bad reading habits. Students have formed a habit that get every word according to information provided by article. And if they come across some new words, they will first understand their meaning. If they come across complex sentences, they will first analyse their grammatical structure.This has caused problems such as students'more frequent use of micro reading strategies in their daily reading, lack of general understanding of the passage, so it is hard for them to understand the overall structure and the center of the article on the macro level. The reason why it happens is that they are lacking of proper English reading strategies, and they cannot use them flexibly. In order to make up for the shortage of this theory, this study will develop the case of teaching research in learning under the guidence of the cognitive theory, intentionally acquisition theory and linguistic theory. It will comprehensively promote students' English reading ability through the design, the implement and the reflection of the case of teaching.American psychologist, Bruner advocates "found" explorations of teaching and emphasizes the importance of the course structure. Bruner thinks that learning is an active process and emphasizes that students should combine the process of study knowledge and explore knowledge through his own learning. Therefore, we put forward the reseach of the junior middle school English reading class teaching, in order to improve the students' reading and self-study ability.This research analyzes the new situation of junior middle school English teaching requirements and characteristics of the subject, and explores effective ways for education and teaching through the junior middle school English reading class teaching. We can provide necessary theoretical basis and practical experience for junior high school English reading class teaching, and also we can better promote the reform of English reading class teaching in the compulsory education phase.
