Changes Of Spring Festival Convention Rural Area And The Study Of Modernity Issue Of Peasant Mental Life

Since the 1990s, the concept of spiritual life,spiritual world, soul ,humanistic spirit and cultural consciousness appeared in the newspaper or other mass medias frequently. While China is with the rapid development of national economy and the people's living standards. At present, we are in the age of the reform called the construction of new countryside. Thus, the study about the spiritual life of the farmers is very necessary. On one hand, the custom changing will affect the farmers' spiritual life a lot; on the other hand, we can see the change clearly in the farmers' daily spiritual life activities . In addition, there is no doubt that we should consider the social background that is our ongoing modernization and the embedded idiosyncratic of the modernity .There are many customs among the Chinese farmers. We take the typical one, namely Spring Festival for example. Firstly, we define the concept and function of the custom in a social significance. Then we know about the performance of the custom changing through the on-the-spot interviews. The performance include the custom ceremony, farmers'mental body action and their views. Secondly,I try to look for the connection between the customs and the farms spiritual life .And I find out that the customs take an important rule in the farmers' spiritual life . Custom has changed, then the spiritual life changed. Thirdly, we discussed the spiritual life in the modern background to find the reason of the problems in the farmers' spiritual life. Finally, I made some recommendations to the farmers' spiritual life with the theory of the countryside modernization and the modernity of the farmers' life.
