The information technology based on computers and networks has been widely used in people's life, work and study since the 20th century.it has been an important topic of education reform for many countries at present to realize information education and carry forward education informationization by using information technology. How to improve the effective use of information technology and bring it into full play in education needs researching and discussing from the two aspects of theory and practice.This paper verifies the former experience and explores new teaching rules through literature review, group test and other methods based on the theoretical foundation of constructivist theory and cognitive theory. Through the comparison of information technology and the traditional teaching mode, the advantages and shortcomings of multimedia educational technology have been shown. Combine the information technology and curriculum integration by improving the traditional teaching mode and taking advantage of information technology, making the teachers and students realize the feasibility and necessity of the combination.The paper is divided into six parts, of which the overview section is the elaboration of the research background, basic concepts and research status. Part two presents the theoretical basis for research and the problems that should be paid attention to in information -assisted instruction. The third part discusses the application advantages, mode, and application of information technology from the perspective of mathematics teaching in the vocational secondary school. The fourth part is the practical information technology research on the mathematics teaching in vocational secondary school. Part V is the comparison and analysis of the study results.Part VI is the summary and prospects.
